
SHS Anatomy & Physiology students visited the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard for a cadaver presentation. A&P classes have grown so much over the years, that we had to split the students into two field trips! The second visit takes place in early March.


On Feb. 26 the Sterling Student Council hosted a successful blood drive thru the American Red Cross. Students, staff and community members volunteered to donate resulting in 52 units of blood being donated!

Plant & Animal Biology students are learning the parts of a flower through dissection! Thanks to Behrz Bloomz in Sterling for donating the flowers!



AP Biology students traveled to Sauk Valley Community College for the annual DNA field trip! 🧬 Students ran a gel electrophoresis, modeled DNA replication, and extracted DNA from a banana!

Four FFA members traveled to Decatur for 212 leadership conference this weekend!


SHS Chess goes 3-1 at the Glenbard East Sectional and advances to the IHSA State tournament on February 14th. Support the team at Pizza Ranch in Sterling this Monday night!

With impending weather on Friday night, the starting times for the Boys Basketball games at UTHS have changed. The sophomore game will now start at 4:30pm and the varsity game will start at 6pm
